Are these jewelry pieces suitable for all types of Locks?
Yes, as long as you choose the right size. The jewelry is available in 4 diameters (XS 3mm, S 5mm, M 7mm, L 9mm) to fit very thin to thick Locks. Use the size guide or the printable template to be sure before ordering.
What material are the jewelry made of?
The jewelry from your Crown Jewels is made from 18 gauge aluminum wire, about 1 mm in diameter. It is the same type of wire used in artisanal jewelry and crafts: lightweight, flexible, and resistant to daily wear. To preserve their shine, remove your jewelry before shampooing.
How do I put the jewelry on my Locks?
You simply slide the Lock into the jewelry ring and slide it to the desired position. No tools needed. If the jewelry resists, you need the next size up.
Do jewelry pieces damage Locks?
No, provided you choose the right size. A piece of jewelry that is too small compresses the Lock and can weaken the hair fiber. A properly sized piece slides freely without applying pressure. When in doubt, always choose the next size up.
Can I mix themes on my Locks?
Absolutely. Nothing prevents combining a Roots piece and a Sunset piece on the same head; some of our customers love mixing palettes. You can order several selections in your size to vary the looks.
